Chickenbones named "Hot Ticket"
February 21, 2004
Well, we've known it all along, but here's some official recognition: Mark Whittington of The
San Jose Mercury News
picked our Espresso Garden show Saturday, 2/21/04 as one of his
"Hot Tickets,"
saying, "Lane Murchison and his band probably earn an Americana label just
for peppering their tunes with mandolin, fiddle and pedal steel. But check out
those hooks, tasty harmonies and quirky lyrics. There's a wicked pop sensibility
at work in this Bay Area band. The new album, 'Small Business,' is a toe-tapping
good time." Hey, thanks!
